Wild West Spring Fling, Boots, BBQ, and Boogie!

Howdy, Partners!

Saddle up for a rootin’-tootin’ good time at this year’s Annual School Fundraiser—Western style! We’re dusting off our boots and coming together for an day of fun, food, and fundraising, all in support of two incredible causes: enhancing our toddler outdoor spaces and expanding STEAM materials for our students.

Your ticket includes most activities and a delicious spread, so grab your hat and get ready for a night of community and celebration! We’ll have pony rides for the little cowpokes and a mechanical bull for the brave buckaroos—plus plenty of other themed fun.

In addition to all the excitement, we’ll have a separate raffle with exciting prizes—parents can help by donating items or securing sponsorships to make this the biggest and best raffle yet.

All the details, including sponsorship and donation opportunities, are available in the

packet below.

We can’t wait to see y’all there for a day to remember!

Yeehaw and see you soon!

Family Gardening Day – A Huge Success! 🌼

A heartfelt thank you to all the amazing families who joined us for Family Gardening Day! With your helping hands and enthusiastic spirits, our school grounds have been completely transformed.

Thanks to you, our gardens are now bursting with life — we have a thriving vegetable garden, a fragrant herb garden, and a vibrant pollinator garden that’s sure to attract butterflies and bees alike!

We’d like to give a very special thank you to Ms. Heather for all of her incredible work in planning and executing the day — your vision and dedication made it all possible! And a big thank you to Mr. Luke for his support and preparation leading up to the event — we’re so grateful for your time and energy.

The gardens look absolutely beautiful — we couldn’t have done it without this wonderful community!

Celebrating Our Elementary Team’s Gullah/Geechee Curriculum!

Kudos to our incredible Elementary teaching team for designing a one-of-a-kind Gullah/Geechee curriculum — we’re thrilled to share that it has been selected for inclusion in the American Montessori Society’s 65th Anniversary Book! What an honor!

In our Elementary classrooms, students explore history by first diving into prehistoric life, then early civilizations and

cultures, before moving into state and national history. This custom curriculum shines a spotlight on the rich cultural legacy of the Gullah/Geechee people and their profound impact on the Lowcountry of South Carolina.

This year, students have had hands-on experiences like weaving with sweetgrass, discovering the musical roots of Gullah culture in Nashville, and exploring Gullah history through vibrant comic books. And there’s more to come — in May, they’ll have the incredible opportunity to spend time with renowned Charleston artist Arun

Drummond.

We are so proud of this meaningful work and the way it brings history to life for our students. Way to go, team!
